Japonia fara vize

De maine putem intra in japonia fara vize pana in 2011. Daca ne dovedim baieti si fete de incredere vor ridica permanent vizele pentru romani.

...mergem in Japonia pana nu reintroduc vizele?

AP Photographer Loses Foot in Bomb Blast, Never Stops Taking Pictures

AP photographer Emilio Morenatti's left foot had to be amputated after he was injured in a bomb blast in Afghanistan. That didn't mean he stopped shooting, however.

In this picture, taken Tuesday, he's being carried out of the University of Maryland Medical Center's R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center to be transferred to the Kernan Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Hospital in Baltimore, where he'll be fitted with a prosthesis.

How color twists your mind

This is just the latest piece of research suggesting that exposure to certain colours can have a significant effect on how people think and act. Up to now most of the research has focused on red clothing in sport, but other colours and settings are being investigated too. It is becoming clear that colours can have an important, unappreciated effect on the way your mind works - one that you really ought to know about.

Imaginea unei molecule

That B&W structure is an actual image of a molecule and its atomic bonds. The first of its kind, in fact, and a breakthrough for the crazy IBM scientists in Zurich who spent 20 straight hours staring at the "specimen"—which in this case was a 1.4 nanometer-long pentacene molecule comprised of 22 carbon atoms and 14 hydrogen atoms.

You can actually make out each of those atoms and their bonds, and it's thanks to this: An atomic force microscope.

Toothpick Umbrella Lamp

This lamp, made for a sculpture class, features over 1,000 toothpick umbrellas molded in a really cool architectural fashion. It's inarguably the coolest use of Mai Tai accessories we've ever posted, so congrats for winning that one.

Meiosis backpack

meiosis backpack designed by davidi gilad, is an equipment bag which was developed to utilize
the physical properties of the elastic materials in which the bag is made. it is constructed from
rugged geometric polygonal shapes that harness the tension of the elastic fabrics, which is gained
by attaching the rugged parts to the while they are stretched on a frame. when released,
the geometric shapes prevent the fabrics from shrinking back, resulting in the bag's form and structure.
the tension and flexibility of the design maintains its shape while it is opened and closed.

Condom testing robot

Broken condoms are a serious concern, not only for those who break them, but the companies who manufacture them. When studying the common reasons for breakage, a coital robot was used to simulate usage. Though it isn’t much of a robot, consisting mainly of simple pneumatics, it does serve its purpose. The study was able to determine the most common cause of breakage, and hopefully this information will lead to less occurrences.

Living bridges

The living bridges of Cherrapunji, India are made from the roots of the Ficus elastica tree.Cherrapunji is credited with being the wettest place on earth, and The War-Khasis, a tribe in Meghalaya, long ago noticed this tree and saw in its powerful roots an opportunity to easily cross the area's many rivers. Now, whenever and wherever the need arises, they simply grow their bridges.Because they are alive and still growing, the bridges actually gain strength over time

One day I'll photoshop you out - Povestiri moderne

I feel like you and I are entering such a fun, playful phase of our relationship − I really love getting close to you like this. Speaking of which, you've been pressing our faces together in a lot of shots, which is so sweet. The thing is, you have no idea how many more hours of clean-up that generates...

China la picior - calatoria unui om

The Longest Way 1.0 - one year walk/beard grow time lapse from Christoph Rehage on Vimeo.

Heirloom technology: Yazd's windcatchers

When I visited the 3000-year-old city of Yazd, Iran, the old school technology I was most fascinated by is the windcatcher. Seen atop many a building in this arid city with an annual rainfall of 2.4 inches and summer temps frequently pushing 104°F, these towers are the predecessors to the swamp cooler. Basically, the wind shafts on the rooftops have directional ports, and only the one facing away from the incoming wind is left open. The wind gets sucked in and pushed down over water below, and the cooled air is circulated through the house. In the ancient homes I saw, the room at the bottom of the wind shaft had a little pool of water and the sides of the room were often built-in brick benches covered with carpet, where the dwellers would spend the hottest part of the day.

Ten things we don't understand about humans

We belong to a remarkably quirky species. Despite our best efforts, some of our strangest foibles still defy explanation

But as science probes deeper into these eccentricities, it is becoming clear that behaviours and attributes that seem frivolous at first glance often go to the heart of what it means to be human.

a team from Tokyo's Research Institute for Science and Technology has designed a method for regrowing lost teeth

To make these glowing regrown teeth happen, first the team created a "germ," or a seed from which the tooth can grow. This germ was coded with the fluorescent glowing dye to track the tooth development. Then they transplanted the tooth germ into the jawbone of a rat. Finally, they tested the regrown tooth. The team found that the teeth were essentially as strong as natural teeth and were able to grow nerves throughout, making them very similar to naturally developed teeth.
